Blue is Her Soul

Her soul is blue

Though you’d never know it

She keeps it hidden in her secret place

Away from those who are undeserving.

She may paint it black or red with rage

For awhile and at times

It may appear yellow or green.

You may want it pink or purple

But souls don’t care want we want.

I saw it though, when she first was born

She opened her eyes and her soul is blue.

Blue like the autumns sky

Blue like my mothers eyes

Blue like a robins egg

Blue as the trees shadow in the snow.
